A new season of "The Voice" kicks off soon with a new pair of coaches. But if any faithful fans are worried that the addition of Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams might mean that old-timers Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will band together against the newbies — rather than aim their usual barbs at each other — fear not During a Friday visit to TODAY, Levine made it clear that bashing Shelton is definitely on his season to-do list."Blake's a terrible person, like, down to his core," the Maroon 5 rocker deadpanned when Willie Geist asked how things are between the two of them. "I don't really take him seriously as a human being. … I can't think of one thing that I like about him. It's really hard."
Finally, Levine hedged, "He's kind of funny?"
But that uncertain statement was undercut by his follow-up: "I'm not sure if that's lack of IQ or just sheer stupidity."
Levine better watch out. The last time he commented on Shelton's "stupidity," their mock rivalry reached new heights — or maybe lows.
